Just a reminder that this year's Whoop & Hollar Folk Festival is fast-approaching and will now take place over TWO days at TWO locations (media story here).
Saturday's program (Aug. 24th) will take place exclusively at Cottonwood Acres, the "home of the festival" on Highway 331, featuring majestic Cottonwoods, wild and manicured gardens, and winding nature trails. Gates open at 11:00 am, with the musical program running from 11:30 am to midnight.
Sunday's program (Aug. 25th) will be held in the heart of Portage la Prairie at Island Park's southeast stage, nestled in a punchbowl setting under the trees near the shore of Crescent Lake. Gates open at 11:00 am, with the music continuing from noon to 10:00 pm.
Both venues are located within a 10-minute drive of one another, with free shuttle service provided (see below).
A festival campground is located near each venue, with free tent camping on the Cottonwood Acres site (Highway 331) and paid RV/tent camping at the PortageX Campground (within walking distance of Island Park).
