Whoop & Hollar is excited to join in the Rotary Santa’s Parade of Lights, next Friday, December 7th (leaves Stride place @ 7:30 pm and continues down Saskatchewan Ave from 20th St. W. to 9th St. E.).
Kicking and mixing it up aboard our float will be musicians The Young Pixels and Chris Messytone. The Young Pixels are Danny and Tricia Turner, an *indie pop-rock duo from rural Manitoba. The pair switch between electric guitar, drums and vocals to create a rock 'n roll sound that is gritty and melodic. Chris Messytone adds color and texture as he rocks up the accordion like few others can.
We invite you to share in the holiday spirit, jump in line, and dance, dance, dance with us. Bring festive outfits and holiday cheer, and dress for the weather.
*Indie pop-rock is a music genre and subculture that combines guitar pop with a do it yourself ethic. It originated from British post-punk in the late 1970s and subsequently generated a thriving club and gig circuit.
